Thiruvananthapuram: The bodies of the Malayalee nurses who died in a car accident in Saudi Arabia have been brought home. Relatives received the bodies of Ashwathi Vijayan from Thiruvananthapuram and Shinsey Philip from Kottayam. Both are nurses at Saudi King Khalid Hospital. On June 5, a taxi carrying nurses crashed in Najran. The other two injured Malayalee nurses and the driver are undergoing treatment.

The accident took place when another vehicle collided with the vehicle in which they were traveling. The accident took place near Yaduma, 100 km from Najran. Both died at the scene.
