തിരുവനന്തപുരം: ആറ്റുകാലിൽ വാടകവീട്ടിൽ യുവതിയെ മരിച്ചനിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തി. വർക്കല സ്വദേശി ആരതിയെയാണ് തൂങ്ങിമരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. ഭർതൃവീട്ടിലെ പീഡനം കാരണമാണ് മരണമെന്ന് ആരതിയുടെ കുടുംബം ആരോപിച്ചു. മൃതദേഹം മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോയി. ഭർത്താവ് അതുലിനെ പോലീസ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിൽ എടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.
ഒന്നരവർഷം മുൻപാണ് ഇവരുടെ വിവാഹം കഴിഞ്ഞത്. ആരതിയുടെ അമ്മ നൽകിയ പരാതിയിലാണ് കേസെടുത്തത്. മുറിയിൽനിന്ന് ആരതിയുടെ ഡയറി കണ്ടെടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. ജോലിയേപ്പറ്റി തെറ്റായ വിവരംനൽകിയ ശേഷമാണ് അതുൽ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചതെന്നും പരാതിയുണ്ട്.
A young woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a rented house at Attukal, Thiruvananthapuram. The deceased, identified as Aarathi, a native of Varkala, was found hanging inside her room. Aarathi’s family has filed a complaint alleging that severe domestic harassment and torture by her husband and in-laws drove her to take the extreme step. Following the incident, Fort Police took her husband, Atul, into custody for interrogation. Aarathi’s body has been shifted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital for a detailed post-mortem examination, and a further probe is underway.
