ശ്രീനഗർ: ഇറാനിയൻ പരമോന്നത നേതാവ് ആയത്തുള്ള അലി ഖമനേയിയുടെ കൊലപാതകത്തിനെതിരെ നടന്ന പ്രതിഷേധങ്ങളെ തുടർന്ന് തിങ്കളാഴ്ച കശ്മീർ താഴ്വരയിലുടനീളം മൊബൈൽ ഇന്റർനെറ്റ് വേഗത കുറച്ചതായി അധികൃതർ അറിയിച്ചു.
പ്രദേശത്ത് ക്രമസമാധാന നില നിലനിർത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള മുൻകരുതൽ നടപടിയായാണ് ഈ നീക്കം. ഇസ്രായേൽ-യുഎസ് സംയുക്താക്രമണത്തിലാണ് ഖമനേയി കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടത്.
ഏകദേശം 15 ലക്ഷത്തോളം ഷിയാ വിഭാഗക്കാർ താമസിക്കുന്ന കശ്മീരിൽ ലാൽ ചൗക്ക്, സായിദ കാടൽ, ബഡ്ഗാം, ബന്ദിപ്പോറ, അനന്ത്നാഗ്, പുൽവാമ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ വലിയ പ്രതിഷേധങ്ങൾ നടന്നിരുന്നു. അമേരിക്കയ്ക്കും ഇസ്രയേലിനും എതിരെ മുദ്രാവാക്യം വിളികളുയർന്നിരുന്നു.
പ്രതിഷേധങ്ങൾക്ക് പിന്നാലെയാണ് കശ്മീർ താഴ്വരയിലെ എല്ലാ മൊബൈൽ നെറ്റ്വർക്കുകളിലെയും വേഗത കുറച്ചതായി അധികൃതർ അറിയിക്കുന്നത്. അനാവശ്യ പ്രചാരണങ്ങൾ ഒഴിവാക്കാനും പോലീസ് അഭ്യർത്ഥിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have throttled mobile internet speeds across the Valley on Monday following widespread protests. The demonstrations erupted after the news of the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a joint US-Israel strike. Massive mourning processions and protest marches were reported in several areas including Srinagar, Budgam, and Baramulla. As a precautionary measure to maintain law and order and prevent the spread of misinformation, high-speed mobile data services have been restricted.
