ന്യൂഡൽഹി: ഇന്ത്യയുടെ സെമികണ്ടക്ടർ പദ്ധതികളുടെ വികസനത്തിനായി 40,000 കോടി രൂപയുടെ പദ്ധതി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച് ധനമന്ത്രി. ബജറ്റിൽ ‘ഇന്ത്യ സെമികണ്ടക്ടർ മിഷൻ 2.0’ ( ISM 2.0) പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. സെമികണ്ടക്ടർ വ്യവസായവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ഗവേഷണം, പരിശീലനം എന്നിവയ്ക്കാവും മുൻതൂക്കം നൽകുകയെന്ന് ധനമന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ആഗോള സെമികണ്ടക്ടർ മത്സരത്തിൽ ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്ക് ഊർജം പകരുന്ന പ്രഖ്യാപനമാണ് ബജറ്റിൽ ധനമന്ത്രി നടത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.
ധാതുസമ്പത്തുള്ള നാല് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്ത് റെയർ എർത്ത് കോറിഡോർ പദ്ധതിയും പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കേരളം, തമിഴ്നാട്, ഒഡിഷ, ആന്ധ്രപ്രദേശ് എന്നീ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ അപൂർവ ഭൗമമൂലകങ്ങളുടെ ഗവേഷണവും ഖനനവും സംസ്കരണവും ഉത്പാദനവും വർധിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള പദ്ധതിയാണിത്. റെയർ എർത്ത് മൂലകങ്ങൾക്കായി ചൈനയെ ആണ് ഇന്ത്യ പ്രധാനമായും ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നത്.

Building on the success of ISM 1.0, the new phase focuses on local manufacturing of semiconductor equipment and materials, strengthening global supply chains, and developing full-stack Indian Intellectual Property (IP). A key pillar of the mission includes establishing industry-led research and training centers to create a highly skilled workforce, aiming to position India as a global hub for semiconductor design and manufacturing.
