തിരുവനന്തപുരം: നെടുമങ്ങാട്ട് ജില്ലാ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ സിസേറിയന് പിന്നാലെ ഗർഭസ്ഥശിശു മരിച്ച സംഭവത്തിൽ ഡോ. ബിന്ദു സുന്ദറിന് ഗുരുതര വീഴ്ച സംഭവിച്ചുവെന്ന് അന്വേഷണറിപ്പോർട്ട്. സിസേറിയൻ ചെയ്യുന്നതിൽ കാലതാമസമുണ്ടായെന്നാണ് കണ്ടെത്തൽ. തിരുവനന്തപുരം എസ്ഐടി ആശുപത്രിയിലെ ഗൈനക്കോളജി, പീഡിയാട്രിക്, അനസ്ത്യേഷ്യവിഭാഗത്തിലെ ഡോക്ടർമാർ അടങ്ങിയ മൂന്നംഗസംഘമാണ് അന്വേഷണം നടത്തിയത്. കുഞ്ഞ് മരിച്ചതിന് പിന്നാലെ ബിന്ദു സുന്ദറിനെതിരേ വലിയ പ്രതിഷേധമുണ്ടാവുകയും പിന്നാലെ അവരെ സസ്പെൻഡ് ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.
നെടുമങ്ങാട് വിതുര മണലി റോഡരികത്തുവീട്ടിൽ രാമകൃഷ്ണൻകാണി-നിർമല ദമ്പതിമാരുടെ മകൾ രഞ്ജനാകൃഷ്ണ(36)യുടെ കുഞ്ഞാണ് കഴിഞ്ഞ ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച പ്രസവശസ്ത്രക്രിയയെ തുടർന്ന് മരിച്ചത്.
പുലർച്ചെ നാലിന് പ്രസവത്തിനായി പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ച രഞ്ജനയ്ക്ക് ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് രണ്ടുമണി കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോഴാണ് സിസേറിയൻ നടത്തിയത്. ശിശുവിന്റെ തലയ്ക്ക് വലുപ്പം കൂടുതലായതുകൊണ്ടാണ് മരണം സംഭവിച്ചതെന്നായിരുന്നു ഡോക്ടർ പറഞ്ഞത്. എന്നാൽ, അഞ്ചുമാസമായി ഇതേ ഡോക്ടർക്കു കീഴിൽ സ്കാനിങ് ഉൾപ്പെടെ നടത്തിയിട്ടും ഇക്കാര്യം അറിയാത്തതെന്തന്ന ചോദ്യം അന്നേതന്നെ ബന്ധുക്കൾ ഉയർത്തിയിരുന്നു.
An official probe into the death of an unborn baby at the Nedumangad District Hospital has found serious medical negligence on the part of Dr. Bindu Sundar. The investigation, conducted by a three-member expert team from the SIT Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, revealed a significant delay in performing the necessary Cesarean section. Dr. Bindu Sundar had already been suspended following massive public protests after the incident. The report, compiled by specialists from the Gynecology, Pediatric, and Anesthesia departments, confirms that the delay was critical in the tragic outcome. Legal proceedings against the doctor are expected to intensify following these findings.
