തിരുവനന്തപുരം: ചെങ്കോട്ടുകോണത്ത് സ്കൂൾവളപ്പിൽ വൻ തീപ്പിടിത്തം. ചെങ്കോട്ടുകോണം തുണ്ടത്തിൽ മാധവവിലാസം സ്കൂളിലാണ് വൻ അഗ്നിബാധയുണ്ടായത്. സ്കൂൾവളപ്പിൽ നിർത്തിയിട്ടിരുന്ന ബസുകൾക്കാണ് തീപ്പിടിച്ചത്. മൂന്ന് സ്കൂൾബസുകൾ പൂർണമായും ഒരുബസ് ഭാഗികമായും കത്തിനശിച്ചു.
പുലർച്ചെ 2.45-ഓടെയാണ് തീപ്പിടിത്തമുണ്ടായത്. തീ ആളിക്കത്തുന്നത് കണ്ട് അയൽവീടുകളിലുള്ളവരാണ് അഗ്നിരക്ഷാസേനയെ വിവരമറിയിച്ചത്. തുടർന്ന് അഗ്നിരക്ഷാസേനയെത്തി തീയണയ്ക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. തീപ്പിടിത്തത്തിന്റെ കാരണം വ്യക്തമല്ല.
A major fire broke out at Thundathil Madhavavilasam School (Trivandrum Scottish School) in Chenkottukonam, Thiruvananthapuram, during the early hours of Sunday. Three school buses parked on the school premises were completely gutted, while a fourth bus was partially damaged. The fire reportedly started around 1:30 AM (some reports suggest 2:45 AM). Alert neighbors noticed the flames and immediately informed the Fire and Rescue Services, who arrived and extinguished the fire.
